The Mars Volta is now streaming “Blank Condolences” from the acoustic reimagining of their 2022 self-titled album, named Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazon. The Mars Volta‘s label Clouds Hill supplied the next clarification for Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazon:
“A couple of months after their self-titled seventh album introduced the return of Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala as The Mars Volta, the group pre- despatched a potent reimagining of that reunion opus. Far more than a easy ‘un-plugged’ studying of The Mars Volta‘s 14 songs, this acoustic rendition furthers the mission of the supply music, which drew into sharper focus the standard Latin influences which have all the time impressed their music.
“This is, says Rodríguez- López, The Mars Volta‘s version of a ‘folk record’, tracing the melodies and rhythms of the parent album back to their traditional Caribbean roots and chal- lenging listeners to hear the group in an entirely new light.”
