On Glass Casket‘s return in spite of everything these years, Waring stated “We by no means actually went anyplace. Everybody simply form of had their very own lives and plans. A lot of the guys had been in school on the time and I simply wished to tour and play as a lot as attainable, so Blake and I ended up in BTBAM for the final 19 years. When Determined Man’s Diary was recorded, we would already launched Alaska with BTBAM and had a reasonably continuous touring schedule so there have been only some exhibits performed throughout that interval.
“Again in 2014, Wes Hauch got here and stayed with me for a few month and we put collectively some materials with Blake and demo’d out just a few issues. I assume it simply wasn’t the proper time so we simply sat on it for some time and saved riffs and components away for when issues lined up. Quick ahead to a few 12 months in the past… Blake began engaged on some stuff and emailed us concepts. All the pieces form of took form from there and I began demoing guitars simply to see the place we had been at, how the songs made us really feel.
“Everyone was pretty stoked on the material so, Blake tracked his drums at home, I went in and tracked guitars and bass with Jamie King, Adam came in and did his vocals with Jamie, and Wes tracked his solos at home. Very fast, very easy process for us at this point and it came out better than expected. It was time.”

Cody and Waring additionally mentioned slightly concerning the new EP and its influences all these years later.
“The lyrics on this release are the completion of a circle for me,” stated Cody. “I’ve waited a long time to release another album with Glass Casket. Our first two albums were full of despair and heartache. The lyrics on this release are full of drive and determination. They focus on dealing with mental illness and overcoming obstacles one day at a time. It also deals with letting go of past tragedies. The ongoing fight we all deal with on a daily basis. No one is above it.”
“As far as influences, I think we stayed true to the integrity of the band’s sound, we’re just grown up and more seasoned players now,” added Waring. “Classic death metal such as Cannibal Corpse and Monstrosity were big influences on me personally. Early Decapitated, Emperor, Converge, Blood Has Been Shed, and Cryptopsy.”
