Coal Chamber was initially round between 1993 and 2003. The band reunited once more in 2011 till 2016, and eventually obtained again collectively a 3rd time in late 2022. Although the rationale the began speaking once more is not a heartwarming, feel-good story at its begin.
In an interview with Radioactive MikeZ, Coal Chamber frontman Dez Fafara stated the band was initially texting him to say their goodbyes. Fafara‘s spouse reached out to the members of Coal Chamber to allow them to know that Fafara won’t make it as he battled COVID, which then become common conversations as Fafara obtained higher.
“Unbelievable flip of occasions. That really occurred… I used to be on my means out from COVID. And my spouse known as [everyone in Coal Chamber] and stated, ‘Hey, you guys might wanna textual content Dez or name Dez ‘trigger I do not know if he is gonna make it via the evening. “So they started to call me, they started to text me, and over a period of six, seven, eight months, we didn’t talk any business at all. And we realized that, you know, why are we not playing shows? Those guys are totally different people than when we broke up. I have always been the same — I’ve just been solid as a rock; and I told them, ‘I’m solid as a rock. If I come out of this, I would love to do at least one show with you guys.’ And that’s how this all started — very organically.”
Fafara additionally touched on Coal Chamber‘s upcoming reunion present at Sick New World, saying the band is simply gonna take issues gradual and see what occurs.
